How to Take Care of Flowers Without the Need for a Garden

Flower can be planted in the garden, but if you don’t have a garden, then try planting it in a box. There are many benefits to planting flowers in boxes. best flower in a box will be protected from wind and rain as well as other environmental stresses. These flowers includes the following;

1) Mixed Colors of Pansies

The pansy is one of the most popular plants for the garden and does very well in pots or on steps leading up to the front door. Pansies are low maintenance and make a great addition to any garden. They like full sun and you can plant them near a water source as well.

2) Lily of the Valley (Lily Alba)

Lilies thrive in areas with full sun and regular watering. Lilies have been used for centuries as a medicinal plant, they improve circulation and have been known to help relieve headaches or drowsiness. Lilies do not mind heat though they need lots of water even in hot climates, so if you live in an area with hot summers it might be best to make more than one planting of lilies for more variety. In a box you can plant lilies and other flowers that do well with hot weather as well.

3) Snapdragon

The Snapdragon flower comes in many different colors, Snapdragon is the best flower in a box but the main ones are pink and white. The Snapdragon flower is great for attracting butterflies to your garden or yard when you place a few of these flowers in a box on your porch or deck. Also the butterflies like it too! They do not mind that when you water your plants you’ll be splashing them with water, so it’s a good idea to have these plants in containers if weight is an issue.

4) Geranium

Geraniums are another good choice for a small space. They thrive in moist areas, so if your climate is dry you might have to water the soil a little more often or have more of them. Geraniums come in almost all colors, and can be planted in pots, making them very attractive in an area with little sunlight.

5) Impatiens

Impatiens come in both annual and perennial varieties depending on how much time you want to put into your garden. The annual variety requires little maintenance while the perennial variety will bloom all summer long. Impatiens are an excellent choice for a flower box because they brighten up any area, even on cloudy days (impatiens need light to bloom). They come in a wide variety of colors and can be planted along the edges of your walkway or garden bed.

6) Lantana

Lantana is another good choice for the small space. They like full sunlight and a little bit of watering, but not too much if you want them to grow. Don’t overwater or let them dry out from neglect though or they will die. Lantana does very well in pots and comes in many colors with red being the most popular.
