EPDM is the base polymer component that is especially known for its heat resistance, weatherproof, and flexibility features. Another important inner tube component is the nitrile-based polymer. Nitrile is highly compatible with petroleum oil and other hydraulic fluid. The nitrile-based polymer is mainly considered for its weather and heat resistance properties.

Reinforcement Layer:

Once the inner tube is manufactured, the producers start their search for the ideal components for the reinforcement layer. The reinforcement layer is constructed right next to the inner tube. In simple terms, it surrounds the inner tube of a hose. This part of a hose plays a vital role in determining its strength and the amount of pressure it can hold. You may find the reinforcement layers consisting of one or more cover of spiral wound wire, braided wire, or textile yarn. 

Outer cover:

Outer cover is the outermost layer of a hose that is responsible for protecting the hose from corrosion, ultraviolet rays, harmful chemicals, abrasion, and most importantly, premature wear and tear. The outer layer is made of the weather-proof, heat-resistant, and chemical-proof components.
